Black Sea Rama
Designed by Gary Player this 7218 metre, par 72, championship-level golf course is located on the cliffs at Balchik, less than 40 minutes drive from Varna airport.
The clubhouse will contain all of the facilities that you would expect such as locker rooms, restaurants, bars, lounges and a pro shop. There will also be an extensive outdoor seating area where players can sit and have drinks and meals whilst watching the play on the 18th green. Panoramic sea views can be enjoyed from the clubhouse which is prominently situated on the Balchik cliffs.
Lighthouse Golf Resort
This 6747 yard, par 71, championship golf course is also located on the outskirts of Balchik, just 35 kilometres from Varna airport. The course, designed by European Ryder Cup Captain Ian Woosnam is positioned on a plateau with breathtaking sea views. The resort offers a private beach, a state-of-the-art clubhouse and the Lighthouse Golf School – a practice ground including a putting green, bunker area and pitch ‘n' putt course.
There is a Wellness Centre offering traditional and alternative therapies, indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a sports centre with outdoor pitches and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. A wide variety of water sports are available at the facility and horse riding is offered at the equestrian centre. There is also a great selection of cafes and retail outlets planned.
Thracian Cliffs at Kavarna
A second championship course, designed by the legendary Gary Player in Bulgaria is a 7008 yard, par 71 course, which will be located close to the stunning beaches of the Black Sea coast just 40 minutes north of Varna. The course is built on 145 hectares of south facing land that will also offer a 5-star hotel with hydrotherapy spa, a private marina, a driving range and residential villages of high-quality apartments and villas.
With further development of international golf courses planned throughout the country, areas such as Balchik in North-East Bulgaria and Bansko in the South-West are set to become the most exclusive areas for investment in Bulgaria and centres for golfing excellence.
